The original Land Rover model, the Land Rover Defender debuted back in 1948 and instantly grew into an icon. While new models stopped back in 1997, the Defender has continued to hold a special place in the hearts and minds of countless drivers.

The first full redesign of the classic SUV since it first hit the roads in the late 1940s, the new Defender will take the best elements of that classic model and update them to meet the standards of the modern market.

Its many improvements will include a fresh pair of powertrains built for high performance. Even with its base turbocharged 4-cylender engine, you'll enjoy up to 296 horsepower. And if you upgrade to its 6-cylinder hybrid option, its output grows to a whopping a 395 horsepower.

Available in both two-door and four-door configurations, the new model will likewise combine the rugged manners of the original with Land Rover's high standards of features and luxury. This will include a full suite of advanced technology, including a robust media suite couched in a 12.3-inch digital display.
